Who are we?
We’re a small, independent initiative who believes that peace isn’t just built in conferences or treaties — it’s built every day, by everyday people, through collaboration and understanding. With diverse experience in the worlds of international peacebuilding, human rights and governance, we’ve seen how often complex language and restrictive systems keep people out of important conversations. We started Decoding Peace to change that.
We believe that peace grows when more people feel confident engaging with the world around them. Our work is about breaking down complicated ideas and decisions in peace, politics, and human rights — so they’re clearer, more accessible, and open to everyone, not just experts or insiders.
This is a growing space for anyone who wants to make sense of how the world works — and how we can make it better. Whether you’re here to learn, share, or take action, there’s space for you.

Decoding Peace is just getting started — and we’re excited about what’s ahead. We're working toward a space that not only explains complex issues, but also brings more voices into the conversation.
In the coming months, we hope to collaborate with peacebuilders, storytellers, and thinkers from around the world. We’re inviting people to share their experiences, submit articles, and participate in interviews that highlight the many ways peace is being pursued in different places. We're also developing new content formats — from visual explainers to short videos — to make learning more engaging and accessible.
As we grow, we’re also building a small team of people who care deeply about clarity, justice, and inclusive dialogue. If this sounds like you, we’d love to connect.
